I was wondering if y'all know where I could find a place to hunt deer. I was also wondering if y'all know where I could find some local farmers I could ask if I could hunt on their land.

It's good you have found a place to hunt. You have to start somewhere with the bucks. That button head will grow up in a couple of years to be a shooter, just have patience.
As long as you are seeing does, you will be doing fine. I have heard from my taxidermist and other hunters about some bucks already chasing does. There is always some does that come into heat early in the year. Stay on the does and the food sources because it will not be long before you see the bucks searching for receptive does. Good luck!

Where there is one, there
Where there is one, there will be more. Now that you have the first one on camera, you now know your spot. Looks like it could turn into something productive for you. Good luck, and let us know how it goes.

Wanted to give an update to
Wanted to give an update to the Eastern NC hunting. I have hunted the open wood bottom several times with no luck. Seen just about everything but deer. Kinda strange since I got so many pictures right off the bat. While walking the path to the stand the other day I noticed a scrape on the way so I moved my camera to see if I could catch any action on the scrape. I set up a ground blind at the end of the path so that I could hunt the scrape as well. I go in this morning and and around 7:20 I see a small four point buck walking the path. He did not seem intrested in the scrape so not sure if it is his or not. Going to sit on it for a week and keep an eye to see if any action comes from it. The few times I have been out haven't heard many shots and havent heard of anything in the area thats been taken so far. Only thing I have hear of so far is the picture I attached. My mom's boyfriend took him two weeks ago. Not a monster but I'll admit if I saw him he would get my blood pumping to actually see something bigger than the ears.
