Dropped Antler Found

I was wondering with the antler I found today , What are the chances this deer is still living close to the area he dropped the antler. this area has very little hunting pressure to None and deep in the woods. I found it on a game trail that looks to be heavily used and also found fresh Doe droppings.

I'm hunting there tomorrow morning and will be grunting and using my scent bombs.

Dropped Antler Found

Providing that there's still lots of food, cover and does for breeding he's probably in the same "general" area (say within 10 miles). But remember they drop their antlers well after the rut once they've gone to yard up for winter so he's probably not in the immediate area yet.
