Doty, WA

Around Doty, WA, there are GMU's 501, 530, and 672. Can anyone give me some info on these areas?

And how do I find out what is public vs. private (Timber Baron) land?

Between work and school I don't have a lot of time to scout so I'm trying to shorten the learning curve a tad.

Goharley...i live near by doty. area and most of it is public my suggestion unless you want to im me would to get a good map..of the area...and maybe get a hold of some timber companie's and get tehre maps of what they own and what is open to hunt....

Contact DNR and get a Public Lands map. Find public land to hunt, then get a map of the specific area.

Hunting Tip: Field Judging Bucks

As a Taxidermist I look at hundreds of Whitetail Bucks every year. I know that I have seen many different ways people judge the size of racks on live deer. I think for the most part they all are pretty close. I'm going to give you some measurements that I have noticed being right on in just about every deer. We have used it in the last couple years and have only been off by about 5-6 inches. We do study the deer while bowhunting so we get a little more time to look at them....
