Does anyone hunt The Land Between the Lakes in Kentucky?
It's a nice place to hunt in the fall. It's 15 minutes from campus. but i must warn you DO NOT GO DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS!!!!!!!!!!!!! wait until it frosts and the HUGE balls of ticks and mosquitoes die out. I've had hundreds of ticks on me at once and one night I probbably killed over 60 skeeters in one night. If it's not fun , it's not worth going. Try hunting anywhere you can find somewhere swampy. Off of 141 isn't bad either.
Let me start off by saying I am not a farmer.
I am a deer hunter and I do own a tractor and have all of the equipment - but that does not make you a farmer any more than standing in the garage makes you a car - well, you get the picture!
Having said that - and with most of my ineptitude fairly well hidden - I do think that buckwheat is one of the most under rated cover crops out there.
I say cover crop because I see mixed results as it relates to the deer eating the plants.
