It IS hunting season so I would assume that most are hunting.
It usually slows down during this time but will pick up as more and more members report the results of their seasons.

During down time at work, I like to check out hunting forums. Most of the local ones that I belong to are blocked at work. This one works and I was excited to have an opportunity for a little deer talk. Then for a couple days, I saw very little activity. I just wondered if it was the norm or what. I look forward to some good chat when things pick back up. I am done hunting this year for the most part. We have a one buck rule in Indiana. I got my buck. I have all the meat I really need since I took a doe early. I do have one more crack at a buck during a special hunt in a state park coming up on Nov. 30. Basically, I already am getting a bad case of "cabin fever". Good Luck to all you who are till chasing the big boys.

That's my excuse, just got back today. Now a few busy days of work, Thanksgiving, trip to Disney World, and Christmas and I'll be back to normal!

Where ya from? Our gun season here in Tn will not shut down finally 'til the 10th of January. I sure would be disappointed to be in a state with a super short season. Oh, and our bag limit for the season, with proper permits is 3 deer a day for the duration, about 100 days total! Only 3 bucks total tho....

I am from Indiana. We have an 18 day long shotgun season and then a late muzzleloader season, but since we have a one buck rule, and I already got my buck, I am mostly done for the year. I did get drawn for a state park reduction hunt on Nov. 30. I can take a "bonus" buck there if I get lucky.

I actually have a Tennessee license this year. I killed a yearling back in the September bow opening weekend on my grandpa's farm in Hawkins County. I plan on doing a little rifle hunting over my Christmas vacation down there. This was my first year to hunt grandpa's farm in the 40+ years I have been going there. I don't think it will be my last!
