They have all been droped for a while here I found a nice 5x6 set 2 weeks ago on one of our ranches near here.the elk had a very easy winter here this year,I usually start looking right after easter.

I am just like you when it comes to taking pictures and scouting and such I also like to film as much as possible !!...i'd say 95% of my time is spent filming & studying elk (and other critters) before & after hunting season !.. , I myself have a newfound animal(black bears) to hunt as of last year to pass some time till we get out and chase those big old bulls around again !....I myself as well look for sheds but they usually they find me before i find them .!!...The only horn i ever really found while looking for them was this year !!...In other words i usually find them while i am hunting or out scouting , none the less i love finding them !!! Haven't been out much this year for horns (too busy trying to find a bear to arrow) But we have found some elk horns and deer as well (a Few).

Thats crazy those bulls were still packin head gear ( I believe it) but jus strange for this late into april !...How big are the bulls by chance ?... Get some pics people !! I will share some of my sheds with you all !!!

was that 6 point elk horn shed or broke off?It is very uncommon for the horn to retain so much of the bone base as there is still attatched to that one.Nice sheds looks like your m deer have a genetic strain that shows that big 3 point frame,i know an area here in MT where they are the same way,lots of big mature 3x3 frames with kikers and a few odd points.My father shot one in the area this year that is a real heavy and tall 3x3 real neat buck.

Well there's no elk here in Alabama but we do find deer sheds. I have one pair from a deer that I was able to kill the season after he dropped the sheds.

My grandfather found one side while rabbit hunting in late Feb. 2001 and I didn't find the other side until Sept. 2001 when we were planting food plots about a half mile away from where the first side was found. Then on Dec. 2 2001 I took the deer, a large 9pt., in an area about 200 yds from where the first side was found.

I don't but, last weekend a friend of mine came back with a 7x7 set, from a Roosevelt. Found about 10' from each other.

Found this today.
Also, found a large antler but it was old and bleached and chewed on.
