Whitetail Rumor
December 12, 2006

Emails are rampant on these two photos of a buck reported to score in the 220 range as a typical. Our most reliable info at this time points to a high-fenced game farm. If so, these trophies are not eligible for inclusion into the records program.

That doesnt say that its from a game farm...It says their info at this time points to that...In other words they dont know for sure...Until such time lets try to remain on the positive side please...This is how rumors get started and give us black eyes.. They dont know for sure the story of where the animal was taken in Iowa.

Boone and Crockett club is a pretty reliable source and they think something is up. So many lies of monster, new world record bucks and bulls are flying aroung the net, I for one am very scepticle of any new records until they are proven. Bowsite also had a blog going on this buck for a while....
Here's a few more links about it if you are interested.

The guy that killed the buck is a contractor of mine, his name is Randall. Him and his brother own the place. They have a large enclosure( @2000 acres),

Ok.....2000 acres is NOT a canned hunt....I dont care who you are thats a hard ass hunt. People need to get a little bit of a grip on reality here...Now I dont agree with these little fly by night 25 acre enclosures where you pay 20k just to kill a damn deer with a big rack...But 2000 acres? Comeon...Thats a hunt...How many in here can say they have had the opportunity to hunt 2000 acres even unfenced? Thats a hunt I dont care what anyone thinks! Get real people...2000acres is a fine hunt and basicly its allowing the owners of the land to manage the deer to their full potential (obviously) and it shouldnt be knocked!!

hunting fenced in areas is hunting but its not hunting naturally. the deer are fed and bred to be big. there not natural giants that are found in the wild. its a hell of a lot bigger of a accomplishment to take a deer half that sized in an unfenced in area. yeah if it were hunting naturally why arent they aloud to enter them into the books as world records. because the deer are freaks of nature that have been made that way. i feel hunting fenced areas is hunting but its not hunting naturally where the sport actually derived from. its shying away from where hunting actually came from. its like stem cell research in humans really...

cam69conv, You need to lighten up a little bit. I wasn't knocking this buck. Blackie asked if anyone knew anything about it. So I tried to help him with some information. High fence is high fence, whether it's 5 acres or 5,000 acres ...and will not qualify for boone and crockett per the club. SCI does include High fence hunts and it might be the new world record SCI whitetail typical buck. If you're for high fence hunting, go for it.
