heheh I just like hunting things, killing things, & then eating dead things!!

Dead Thing my favorite thing to eat!!

*friends come over for dinner & ask "what's for dinner??" my answer "Dead Thing with fried potatoes"*

(not sure what kinda dead thing it was cuz when we scraped it off the road we couldn't recognize it mmm tender :grin

I guess that all depends on how many times you shot it! Ya kill somethin when ya BLOW THE CRAP OUT OF IT! Ya harvest it with a .270 and a 1 shot kill.

Actually, I'd honestly differentiate the two terms this way:

If you kill something you are hunting for the sport or thrill of killing.

If you harvest an animal it is taken for food or for it's hide. You don't harvest cockroaches, crows, or prairie dogs, you kill them.

I call it killing the animal when talking to a fellow hunter. I harvested it by inflicting fatal injury, therefore, killed it. When talking to a non-hunter, I call it harvest. Really depends on who is listening.
