Did anyone hunt unit 70 or 71 2010 archery elk/deer season? I would like to give these areas a try for 2011 season.Also would like to get some pros and cons of lizard head wilderness for elk and deer during archery season. 2nd year hunting/living in Colorado and want to explore the states diverse areas this summer. So if there are any other areas to explore for archery season suggest away.

i have hunted 70 , 71 and 711 second rifle, tons of ATVs, i wont go back.

Yes we did, still lots of hunters, a lot of them with horses, but that was second rifle, archery season might be better ?. we came in from the West side.

UPDATE on 2011 elk attempt
Well we saw a few elk and a few more hunters, mostly calfs and cows ( running away). This is a very hard hunt. We packed in and spent 8 day hunting and hiking. We put 26 miles on our legs and my brother sealed the deal on a cow, just outside of the wilderness area in the NF 1/2 mile from a road!!! Next season going to stick to the NF side we saw more elk there and fewer hunters. Overall was a blast but will change the stratigies for 2012
