You know the answer to that question. I'm sure it made a lot of sense over tea and crumpets in the parlours of Hfx's south end. Just another sign of the urbanization of our country.

If criminals wanted a camera they would go steal one.....

I thought of doing that very same thing. I see a couple of ads in the local papers saying that they will buy your firearms at FMV and some even say they will get you a camera if that is what you want.

On the other hand, if we could find some $50 single shot and trade if for a camera, sell the camera and buy more $50 shotties to trade again.....

This is crazy. I had no idea the antigun crowd would stoop to bribing guns out of people's hands.

I hate to admit it but the gun crowd here is just not vocal enough.  As a whole, they are content on letting the antis chip away at their rights.  Hunters feel that the handgunners are to blame and the handgunners are blaming the hunters.  Fact is, the only ones to blame are ourselves as a whole community.  We are not a single voice fighting for firearms rights and have been divided into smaller self serving groups fighting for their own rights.  I know many hunters that would throw the handgun community under the bus in a heartbeat to save their rifles.  We have to realize that if the handguns are the target now, the rifles are the targets after they defeat the handguns.  These people will not be happy until every single legal firearm is destroyed.  The illegal ones will still be out there and always will be.

wow!!! that has got be be one of the dumbest programs i have ever heard of. heck i would buy a few hundred camera and give them out if someon wanted to hand me there gun, I'd love to add to my collection. do the citizen understand that the criminals will still keep there guns and steal the new cameras you just got. I mean i know there are some dense people out there but really? the government would have to pry my guns from my cold dead hands as i would never turn them over.
