I live in North East Pennsylvania and would like to try deer hunting in Delaware on public land, mainly early season bowhunting and the rut, but I also muzzleloader/shotgun hunt. I've been doing some research and its amazing how many big deer have been harvested since 2000, alone. It also seems like, on public land, that the big ones hide in the swamps and tidal flats along the coast. Phragmites? What does this stuff look like and how do you hunt them there? I also really like the fact that Delaware has implemented QDM and spread restrictions. I'm not looking for somebodys secret hunting spot, just some advice and get steered in the right direction. I have all the maps of Delawares Hunting Lands along with a few State Forests. I have a few areas singled out. Feel free to send me a private message or I'll be more than happy to give you a call. I'm the only person that will be hunting, so dont think I'm bringing a gang with me. Or if someone is looking for a hunting buddy, that would be great. Any and all information will be greatly appreciated.
