Deer reaction to blood

Has anyone seen how a deer reacts to the blood of another deer on the ground?

....dosent seem to bother them a bit !! I seen a doe ponched in a chopping and had the buck come out stand a few feet from it and didn't bother it at all needless to say it was a big mistake on his part !

I took a deer with the bow there was snow on the ground it looked like CSI.
The next day the 2 deer had walked right through the blood. I don't think it bothers them. It could be an individual thing though
F.K.

I'd imagine they would at least be a little curious and I've heard that they avoid recent gut piles from deer. It probably depends on the amount of blood too.

I agree with GBoyd for this reason. I have seen folks field dress a deer next to an apple bait pile and until the crows cleaned up the mess the deer would not return.

Gut pile gone, deer Back, and blood is saturated into the ground.
It's not the blood anyway, I would guess it's a "learned experience "that predators(coyotes especially)) will be arriving soon Think Think

I've always heard it doesn't bother them. Sunday morning I watched a little forkhorn walk right past a gutpile and he didn't even flinch.
