Deer pictures, can we have a sticky for the season?

satchmo, nice deer you've killed this year. Did you weight any of those deer? That looks to be a healthy doe, just wondering how much she weighted compared to the mature does we kill here in eastern nc. Post weights with the pics if you can. You diffinitely have had a good year Thumbs up

Thanks, we have had a good season so far. I have only weighed one doe and that was the first one I posted this year and she dressed 104. The buck I took here in Ga dressed 143 and the buck I took in Missouri dressed 156.
Most of the does we take here range from 60-100 lbs dressed.
Looks like everybody is having a good season.

Here's my best buck so far, but I'm not done hunting yet. PA's late flintlock season opens the day after Christmas.

I don't usualy take ten deer in a season. Usualy 7 or 8. I shoot seveal deer for people who want one for the freezer, one guy can't eat any any red meat except venison so he gets about three from me every year, he just pays for the processing. We eat about five a year. They are very educated here in Ga because we have 3.5 months of gun season and everybody is allowed twelve deer of which only two can be bucks, and one buck has to have 4 points on one side. We even put up dummy ladder stands because we know the deer check out the trees as much as the ground. We also don't gun hunt deer, but also don't have anything against it, just a preferance. Really keeps the pressure down on all of our leases.
My wife shot two this year with her bow, and the buck she shot might as well have been 190 inch typical concitering the excitment we all felt. She is spoiled by hunting in Missouri for sure. It's a cakewalk compaired to here. Hard to come back here and sit in a tree after comming back from there.
We had a great season.

Thanks for the reply, do you find that to hogs over there bother the deer? or compete for the area, we have that problem i Cal. some times not all the time but some times. I had a huge blacktail scouted for archery season and a blackbear moved in and blew him out of the area two weeks before the opener. There went four months of scouting and preperation Cry baby

Re: Deer pictures, can we have a sticky for the season?

I won't even take a lease that had hogs on it anymore. Deer don't like to be around hogs because they are noisey. Usually they keep their distance from what I can see.
There are no places it seems like that don't have some hogs around here, but if I find too much hog sign I back out and scrach that off my list. We have soime leases that have hogs and that is the only thing that is worth hunting there. If I have deer on me and hogs come in ,the deer leave. They'll watch a coyote walk by and cuss it(blow at it),but hogs are offensive towards the deer and they leave.
