Nice pics R T , ....That buck looks like a good one . I have a few pics I picked up on a couple fishing trips
A couple of years ago I gave my daughter some bear .She done a roast in the slow cooker and invited me for supper ,was that good !!!! .I think that is what got me on to the roast .We,re moving to the country at the end of the month .Good trapping within walking distance . I'll be busy for a bit getting the grounds set up . We have permission to trap on some farm land and can use the road that run along the river for about 3 miles . I'll be living in the same yard with the guy that owns the land . Coyotes yelping all the time .
...try using tomato juice instead of water in the cooker and a sachet of beef bullion salt pepper then thicken juice with corn starch mixed in 1/2 cup cold water makes a nice gravy ! ![]()
great pics !!!!!

.....there all bucks ! Wow some great shots there ...I went for a drive to haveloc n.b the other evening and counted 14 along the way in the fresh cut fields and amongest the corn stalks , wouldn't ya know it !
wife forgot the camera !!
That sounds good . I'll be trying that for sure . I'm open to all recipes for bear . You can find some good recipes on Google search for what ever you want to cook . Most times the plain and simple ones are the best and a lot less hassel
There is a stretch of highway handy where I'm moving . it's quite comon to see as high as 40 + deer in some of the fields . That's mostly in the spring . Their still yarded up from the winter
Wish the farmers here were as nice as they are there. Where I hunt most of them wont even let you on thier driveway lol lettalone in thier precious fields. You would think they would thought since most cropping and hay cutting is done by then but nope I guess they figure its thiers and its private family only kinda deal.

...what I try to do is show up in off season and give them a hand at haying time etc free of charge they are usually more than willing to let me hunt on their land and i try to leave it just like i found it ! heck some of them even have me in for a nice country dinner to boot ![]()
My son Installs furnaces and got to meet a lot of the people in that area so we have the run of about 6 farms . Great place for trapping ,, geese and deer hunting . Here is one of the fields where I'm moving to
