The deer & elk are in the garden again!!!

This time of the year, every year, the deer and elk have a Pharaoh's feast on the the flower gardens of the locals. Nothing seemed to curtail them except the dogs. Last fall I mention this to my dad and he told me the ingredients for repellent.

Eggs
Water
Garlic
Cayenne Pepper

Add some Bacon & toast and it sounds like a good breakfast.

Mix well pour into a 1 gal. plastic milk jug.
Leave it outside for three days.
Filter out the chunks and spray the liquid on the plants and flowers.

It works, saw it with my own eyes. The Deer came down for lunch and just stood there and stared at the flowers.

Hey Fuzzy, are you sure that the reason it worked wasn't because it killed all the flowers? Wink

Must be pretty putrid!

Hey bitmasher

Nope, flowers are still there.

Problem was, nobody or any thing else enjoyed the garden either.

I think I'm going to stick with the dogs or the old dial soap shavings trick.

There is a product that we use on the golf courses that works very well. It is called deer away and is also an egg product but without the smell. The nice thing about it is that it will go into the plant and last over three months. The bad thing about it is $$$$$. We have about 30-40 deer that frequent the golf course and have never had a problem.
