Has anyone tried deer breakfast sausage? I just heard of it last year after turning my order in to the butcher.I decided to wait and ask around how it was before maybe sacrificing some of my valuable meat for breakfast.
Not really sure what the breakfast sausage is, but I've had summer sausage, regular sausage, and smoked sausage with alot of the deer I have taken. Very tasty!!!!!
Next deer I get I'm gonna try it.Only one processer has offered it that i ever seen
Yes, it's excellent..... I have had several different recipes.
can you send me acouple? or post em?
Let me see if I can dig them up when I get home. I'll let you know.
It's great tasteing and better for you.
Crowsfoot......I always have a fair amount of our deer processed into salami, sticks, or ring bologna. Though our favorite was the ring bologna, this past year we tried the lockers deer breakfast sausage and it was excellent. Very very good. Less salty and a great flavor. We cook them on the grill or pan fry or steam them. Obviously the outcome depends on the recipe and processing.
We make breakfast and italian sausage. They're both really good.
Its very tasty!!!
