Deer and Elk Populations

Just wanted to see if anyone knew how the deer and elk herds were effected by last winter in the Eagle River Valley area. Headed out in a few weeks and wanted to know what to expect. I have never had a problem finding elk or deer but, I've heard some nasty stories that I hope are not true.

Eagle County, CO had a lot of winter kill this last winter. DOW cut the tags quite a bit.

Bull Buster, from what I've heard, the deer were hit a lot harder than the wapiti.

thanks for the info. I can't wait to get back out there. Although I'm not expecting a year like last it is always fun just to see a few animals.
