Debating the Anti-hunters

For those of you that might be interested feel free to visit my website

One book, "The New Age Hunter" covers hunting ethics, fair chase, wildlife
management, conservation practices, the ecosystem and how it relates to quality habitat, hunting's origins as well as its future. It also provides an understanding of the politics of hunting’s and exposes the anti-hunter and eco-terrorist agendas. Unfortunately, we can no longer just be “hunters’ if hunting is to survive into the future. We must also also educate ourselves so that we can articulate the critical roles we play in ensuring healthy wildlife populations. We must become “New Age Hunters.”

Another book is about our family big game safari in Africa titled “Take Me on Safari (A family Affair).” I also have a children's book based on wildlife characters called “Where is Wildbeary?” These books have been written to help get all family members exposed to hunting or the wonder of the outdoors.

FYI - American Hunter magazine (published by the NRA) said I have “a hunter’s insight and a writer’s gift”. Several media critics have reported my hunting books as “Inspiring,” “Masterfully written,” “Bold,” “Worth reading.”

Feel free to send me your candid comments.
Best regards
Ant

Is this actually a thread? I'm a little confused...

Exposing the anti-hunter and providing an understanding to eco-terrorists sounds great but where's the Anti-Hunter debate?

No, it's not a thread. It's spam. It's pro-hunting spam that most folks on this board might be interested in and probably would be sympathetic to, but it's still spam.

Answer to "Where's the debate"

Thanks for the comments. I didn't know my posting would create a stir so i apologize for taking advantage of "free advertising," for sending the "spam" and for the "confusion" i've caused.

To set the record straight - as a dedicated hunter (as i'm sure all of you are too) i wanted to do my part to enlighten others about hunting and the critical role it plays in ensuring a prolific future for wildlife. So over the past few years I've put many weekends and early morning hours writing (at my own expense, these books are "self-published) trying to get the message out and educate others about the need for hunting and hunters.

Not having deep pockets like the publishing houses I thought that by making the books known to fellow hunters (after all it is really the hunting community that will be interested in the subject) through forums would be a good idea. Yes, I do have an agenda to try to sell a few books, but it is also my genuine attempt at helping other hunters to understand that they are a small part of a very large picture - and to clarify the important part we all play. If hunters can not articulate the need for hunting - or learn to be able to debate the anti-hunters and eco-terrorists IN CLEAR VIEW OF THE NON-HUNTERS - well, let's just say we may all become wildlife watchers instead of hunters if we can't educate others.

So my friends, if i cannot find acceptance amoung you - my fellow hunters - to bring up the subject of where you might be able to find some well written books of special interest to those who frequent this forum - then i guess i just spent several years and more than a few dollars on an endeavor that has only meaning for me. Shame on me if this is the case, but i think there will be some who will be a bit forgiving about me promoting my self interests - because it is in alll of our best interests to expand our knowledge and defend hunting.

Thanks again for the candor. I wouldn't expect anything less from dedicated hunters such as yourselves.

Just a suggestion, in the future, you might want to consult with the owner/moderator of the forum and see if they will let you run some form of ad or other reference for your product. I am sure if you ask nice, most of these type of folks are more than willing to permit something. That way you don't end up crossing that line that opens the door and lets others start to really abuse the privilege.

I noticed this forum runs a lot of advertising that has to do with hunting. I don't know what they'd expect for remuneration, but they seem to be reasonable people.

I used to be an amateur radio operator, and I also happened to own a two way shop at the time. Once I made the mistake of offering to help another ham out if he would bring his rig to my shop. I caught hell, and rightly so. My intentions were on the up and up, but it was just not proper for the venue.

Don't give up, and thanks for being courteous about the whole thing.

Good advice

I'm new to the forum scene and i guess i'm bumping into some protocol i'm not aware of. when registering on some forums they mention that that prohibit advertising or solicitation - other forums don't mention it. I assume if it is not prohibited than it is allowed but perhaps i'm wrong in my assumptions.

good advice

thanks

Yep, I've learned it is always good policy to just ask first and make sure. I always manage to assume wrong so I try and avoid it when I can.

Maybe you should do everyone a favor and stick to sites that want to hear your BS,the only thing you could possibly be looking for here is an argument, well "Im your huckleberry!".Im sure you are aware that hunters provide more funds than any other group to promote wildlife reintroduction programs and to provide more habitat? We are the best thing that ever happened to the wildlife in this country and you want us gone, you dont give a shit about the animals just your position on the matter,go write a book about a jackass that trys to make a living while he trys to take away the rights of americans, you can call it your autobiography!
