I`m a outfitter/guide here in beautiful Enterprise Oregon. Located in the Northeast corner of Oregon. I`m a professional predator caller, started when I was a youngster. Now 35yrs old, this year I called in 14 Mountain Lions. Taking 3 of those cats, one was self defense as I had a bear coming in. The 200lb Tom got there first and caught me off guard less than 8yrds from my feet. It took 4 arrows to get that cat down. Before he went down he made attemps to get at me twice with 2 arrows sticking from his head. I could send you a few photos of cat hunts if you like....I hike into a prescouted area and set-up in preselected spots. Generally get a shot offer before time to go home. Hunting areas are private and nice hiking.. I sit close to thte shooter and help spot and offer any helpful tips to shooting like, when, where and hows. I have had young people and retired folks. I make the hunt the way you want it and awnser any questions you might have. You will get your shot at a big cat if you hunt with me....I`m easy going and really make the effort to give the shooter a safe and cat hunting experiance they`ll never forget..Calling in a big lion and to watch him come stalking in to you. With that piercing look in there eyes as they close in close enough you can hear the breathe. I am right there whispering to you every move you should make...Right down to pulling the trigger. Some people I work with more than others. If your an experiance outdoors man and have seen cats and maybe shot one before I`ll let you do most of the work and if you decide to hunt cougars with me we`ll talk all that over a cup of coffe on our way to the Cougar country...We`ll you said you were interested so I thought I would just let you know....Also one more thing, you`ll be able to hunt your next cat on your own if thats something else you`d be interested in. I show you how to do with a calling class and a good look at my custom calls and who makes them for me..Most of my best calls are from Nebraska....Anyway Thanks, God Bless! Winter is tough on whitetails, that is an accepted fact.
You can help the quality of your herd by providing winter plots - that are not necessarily designed as kill plots.
Having what I call green plots - that the deer can browse in when most of the other food is gone, can greatly benefit the deer herd when they need it most.
Come December - at least in our area of the south - most of the mast is gone, all of the crops were long harvested and this green browse can really make the difference for...
