Dall sheep

Hello everyone thanks for all your help on our spring bear hunt.It went very well. Now I would like to ask for your help on a Dall sheep hunt I am trying to do next Aug. maybe in the Brooks range? I have a pretty good Ideal on Equipment,Boots and such but am still open to suggestions. The part I am needing the most help with is guides and which areas are best without having to draw a tag? I have looking at some guides. I would like to hear what everyone thinks of them good or bad you can p.m me if you would like? They are Dan reynolds,Tom walton and Jonah stewart and anyone else you might have? Thanks for your help

sheep hunt

Yes Dan is in the Yukon, I believe.

Charlie after talking with a few friends either in the biz or have been, I think your best bet is a hunt in the Yukon or BC. Yukon for Dalls or BC for Stone. It sees the industry is a bit of a cluster these days , here in Alaska. Canada outfitters own their areas and most try to manage their area for quality. sorry I don't have any names to pass on over there,  but just picking the area with good history should give you pointers.

Griz

Yes most of unit 16 B.Just pick a time and a guide. There is a small area along Wolverine creek that has a season Sept 15 throughMay31 still two bears a year, the rest of 16B is no closed season.16B is straight across Cook inlet from Anchorage, from just south of Kalgin island ,all the way north into Denali  park & preserve.
