I know they are trying to do

I know they are trying to do something but I really don't think this will help much.

We have a smaller deer herd out west with no baiting allowed in any of the states but the CWD just keeps spreading every year.

It hasn't reached my unit yet but I know it won't be much longer.

Yeah - I agree with you

Yeah - I agree with you Hunter. I guess they have to do something to try to control it, but I don't think a feeding/baiting ban will do the trick. I've said this before, but I'm inclined to think that it's just going to have to run its course. There is also the possibility that it will always be with us.

I did a little research, and there are an awful lot of unknowns about this disease, including just how long it has been around. Some think it might have started about 40 years ago, but there is some evidence to suggest that it derived from another disease back as far as 1947.
