No moose for me....

I think they hopped a bus for Florida. I got an e-mail from the NH moose biologist. The final take for Unit M was four moose or 40% success. At least I wasn't alone. I know where three of them were shot. We found a gutpile from one of the cows and heard the shots from one of the other one's. I believe at least three were shot early in the week. At least two were shot first thing opening morning....like an hour or two into the season. I'm not sure about the 650# bull. There are still a lot of moose running around here. I didn't check the Motel 6. Maybe they're hangin out there 'til spring.lol

not alone

You are NOT alone.  In VT the typical success rate is only 50% statewide and that includes cows and calves harvested as well as bulls.

You said that you gave it 100%, and it sure sounds like you did proper scouting.

Sometimes that's just the way it shakes out.

Like you said, there is always next year!

I know that I will be putting in for both Maine and NH.

Do you have to wait to apply again in NH?
