Cowgirl-If old building's could talk

Hey Luv,

This is the first attempt I made a shooting an old house. Used an old twim lense Yashica camera back in 1995 on it. My brother has it in his office in Salem and has one client that sit's and looks at it awhile every time he's in.

It's in Wheeler County, Ore and all I found out is that it was built in the 1880's sometime, called "The Monger Ranch". Some day I'm thinking of getting someone to dress up in old cloth's and stand on the porch then do a double exposure of it so the person looks like a ghost.

Don great picture. Whenever I come across a place like that I can't help but sit and think back to what life must have been like at that very spot years ago.

I know I talked to you and cowgal quite a bit about cameras. I finally convinced my wife to get a new camera. Actually it didn't take much convincing, she realized her camera wasn't taking very good pictures of the kids at their activities. So after she broke the news to me that she needed a new camera, I gave the old "I don't know, that sure is alot of money" then acted like she won the conversation and ran to Best Buy before she changed her mind. lol Can't wait to learn how to use it and start taking some picture myself.

very nice pic

if I may.....when you shoot it again

consider using film( not digital) and consider black white

clearly, you've got a good eye for it...

Very nice picture!!

The one above is one I took of the remains of an old homestead in what just happens to be Wheeler Co, Nebraska.

In grey scale.

That grey scale makes a huge difference. I really like that look, gives it a much more nostalgic appearance.

The lady that has the store here in town sent away for a program to make calenders so I made some b&w photo's of old homesteads to maybe make a calender out of. Gonna try to get enough more this spring to fill one. This is the Monger in b&w with a mask:
