To bad they fired him. Had they stood by him I would have strongly considered or felt an obligation to purchase one of their rifles. That they fired him over this ensures I will never buy one of their rifles.

I understand your view perfectly as it is basically the same as mine, just a mirror image. I own a Cooper rifle but would never consider purchasing another if Dan Cooper was part of the company so I can understand why his firing is cause for you not to consider them for a future purchase.

Kind of makes me sad that the Cooper rifle is pictured in my antelope pic in the antelope forum. Nice rifle but now tainted by Dan Cooper's action (which he had every right to do).

Okay, okay, if you hate the rifle that much now cause of what it symbolizes to you go ahead and send it my way. Big smile

That was a nice looking goat and rifle and I'll try and tag a few more with it.

Just kidding of course as I know good ol expat will try to construe this as something serious and negative about me. Laugh

Geez, as if it isn't bad enough that Obama will try to steal my gun, I now have to worry about you trying to steal them.

Just so Civetcat doesn't post something negative about me, for the record, I'm kidding Evil!

This topic a big discussion elsewhere

Over at Daily Kos there are hundreds of posts already, lot of liberal (or maybe moderate or conservative) gun owners contributing to the thread.

CVC if I were you I'd never trust that rifle again, probably has cooties, worthless, but to save you from taking a total loss maybe I could help a little, what caliber?

.270 win, but SoCo already made that offer. Still, this is good, based on the polls, I probably can use the practice defending my guns against liberals trying to grab them.

Crossing over from another thread related to D. Cooper; also stated that he resigned as president of the company. Doesn't mean anything. He owns the company and will run it whether his is the president or just the major stock owner. Cooper arms can publically say whatever they wish, but D Cooper isn't leaving the company. http://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=20889

it's his company, his choice. my choice to not purchase anything from him again, and be suspicious of gun stores that continue to do business with him.[/url]
