It had to be in the 40's at

It had to be in the 40's at night last week.  I would imagine it will be that cold if not colder during September.  I was planning on deboning all the meat and butchering myself.  I have done many whitetail but nothing the size of an elk.  Should I look into a meat processor?

Does anyone know a good butcher in the Silverthorne, Dillon, Breckenridge area?

If you have done a deer then

If you have done a deer then you can do an elk.  It just takes more time.

Time is getting close. I hunt

Time is getting close. I hunt the muzzleloader season, and I can hardly contain myself. Waiting a year between hunts is torture.
