I have an observation that I, at least, think is interesting.

I find it interesting how SoCo frequently comes to the defense of civetcat, but civetcat rarely, if ever, comes to SoCo's defense?

Just an observation - nothing more, nothing less. Think

Yeah, yeah, Sherlock we're the same person or whatever other insinuation you're pushing. Your powers of deduction are awing to say the least. Check IP address's or whatever other method you have to determine who's who.

Just a suggestion, nothing more, nothing less. Laugh

Edit: and in the event that's not what you were pushing and just observing that I 'defend' him and not vice versa, I speak up when, I feel compelled to regarding something, I either disagree with or, I feel is stupendously wrong or ill informed. Often times it is regarding attacks you and your pals have made on old civet cat. I don't speak up against some of the attacks on him because I expect anything from him. I speak up to again point out what is in my view things that are wrong or downright moronically stupid, like the constant comparisons of civet or me to hugo chavez and other despots.

I don't think you two are the same person and that is not what I was inferring.

I just find it interesting that you do come to his or her defense - guess we don't know civetcat's gender - do we?

Kind of like the US having to defend France over and over.

I was going to make some snide remark about you being touchy about being thought of as being civetcat, but then I put myself in your place. I'd be downright insulted if someone thought I was civetcat.

Ha, now the gender inferences and slanders. I've never even considered civet being anything other then a man, but I see how working this new line of smear in your view would discredit him under the guise of humor. Man, I thought you were a little classier then that.

sad

I started to write his defense, but has civetcat ever posted anything that really defines their gender?

Do you know civetcat personally? Can you attest to civetcat's gender? I always assumed he was a man, but then it hit, based on the style of argument, he may not be a he. Just realized that I shouldn't assume gender.

I know you're a man because I've seen your picture. Others, I know their first name.

I've given up trying to debate-reason-converse with civetcat. Poking at him (or her) is all he/she deserves.

Me classy? Nah.

Too bad you can't escape your thought patterns...like the oh-so mature "I'm not, you are" stuff.

Then there's the part where you act all offended and go on some sort of personal attack because I brought up something that's historically uncomfortable.

Once again, reeeeaaallllly sloooooowly...I...did...not...compare...you...or...civet...to...despots. I stated that leftward political thinking poses a greater danger to democracy than right thinking because the farther left you go, the greater the government distrusts individuals, and the more willing it is to throw individuals under the bus in order to serve the collective. History has borne this out again and again. As for you waving your hand and blowing off the numbers as irrelevant, I know some Holocaust survivors that would disagree with you.

Frankly, I'm amazed at your reluctance to acknowledge historical facts, much less interpret those facts for meaningful lessons.

Oh c'mon now man you got to really cool it with 'I didn't call you that, I only compare you to them every chance I get," act. You bring up those people every chance you get. A bit melodramatic don't you think? But, I guess you feel you have to bring up hitler and stalin to throw some weight behind your otherwise weak rationale for your positions.

SoCo if we don't analyze history and learn from previous mistakes, we're doomed to make the same mistakes again. There are various degrees and extremes of lefties, but they all have one thing in common, they believe the government needs to be in control and can fix everything. Its a very dangerous territory to enter. Currently the dems are exhibiting those very traits. Are they despots, no not at this point (ok well maybe Pelosi Evil! ) but how far are we willing to let them go?

You and Civetcat have blinders on when it comes to the current state of our country. You're eating up what the MSM is feeding you and you're content not to question it. Yes the economy is in a mess, but its not the worst since the great depression. Obama and dems have done a fine job of fear mongering and insisting that a trillion $$ be thrown at the problem. As I've stated before, I'm not happy that my tax dollars are being used to help irresponsible people, regardless of whether its individuals who bought too much house or it's a big business that has run itself into the ground.
