"chess piece" pedestal mounts

Thanks for the compliments Critter.

Since I got divorced and paid off my house I've been able to save a few bucks each year, so I've been able to do an African trip every 3-5 years.

I've seen pics of those "chess piece" pedestal mounts of Sable antelope. The only live animal that I've ever seen like that is a horse on a tight rein.

IMO they don't look natural on a wild animal.

A few whitetails

Here are some pictures of a few of the whitetail mounts we have.  We are waiting on our first antelope from this year as well as two more whitetails, including by far our biggest!

the first two are my Pope and Young Coues deer from AZ. They are currently on display at the sportsmans warehouse in Grand Junction, CO.
The third is the mount I made for my 2006 archery Bull from CO.
