Colorado's Governor's Mule Deer Info

Does anyone on here have any information on the deer that was shot supposedly on a "Governor's tag here in Colorado? All I have to go on is this photo of the hunter and a very nice buck. I know of some of the tags that go out on a auction but have never heard of the Governor's tag.

Thanks for the link, it cleared up a little bit of fuzzy information on where he was shot. I now know pretty close to where he was and it looks like he was just outside of Glenwood on the South West side.

I can't believe the finger pointing and some of the talk that is going on in that thread. The last 3/4 of it is nothing but trash talk about how he was a neighborhood pet and was living in a back yard eating apples all day. There was one post that said that he was chased out of a back yard by a dog and that is when he met his demise. Too bad if that is what happened.

I've got family in Walsenburg Co. and from this summer to now there have been some absolutely bruiser bucks living right in and around town. Their tame as dogs seen in yards all the time and you can walk within feet of them. I just know some local twerp is going let temptation get the better of them and probably poach one. Or this kind of thing will happen where next year someone's going to tag with a tag one and then tell stories of their glorious hardcore hunt. sad

I was looking for this picture, I had seen it before but was hoping that there was a picture of my son in the picture, but he was taking the pictures.
The hunter is BJ Latham and the guide was Joe Latham, Joe is from DeBeque, Colorado, BJ is from TX, they were hunting around Montrose, Co. The deer had been seen and hunted by several hunters. So, in all it wasn't much of a hunt, just who could outsmart him. Joe's hunters took several 400 bull elk this year also. There were some other nice deer too.

J Latham welcome BGH! Yes

I was wandering what unit they found that buck in (if you would be willing to share). Also I would love to here where these 400 inch bulls were taken. High fence, private, or public (and unit)?

Thanks

Quinton
