Good luck SGT, I will also be hunting in unit 7 for deer in the third season. I've never hunted the area at all but I've scouted it for about 4 days so far and I'm headed that way to scout it this weekend.

I've seen bucks coming out of the timber in the Laramie river valley about 10 miles north of highway 10 but I've looked around the Deadman and Green Ridge area and haven't seen an animal. I think it's going to be a tough hunt.

Unit 7 scouting

I just got back from a short scouting trip into unit 7, I camped on Bull Mountain and it was dry and windy Saturday. I did quite a bit of glassing and I saw a few deer around whiskey Springs and a few more on the private land just south of Stink Creek. It snowed about a half an inch on Saturday night and I saw nothing moving around on Sunday. I took a drive into the Grace Creek area and there was about 4 inches of snow, I saw almost no tracks, and one doe. The other hunters hadn't seen a thing up in that area.

I talked with a couple of Fish and Game guys and they said that up on Deadman nothing was happening, nobody was seeing anything.

My buck hunt starts next weekend, I'm convinced that only way I'm going to get anything is to do a bunch of walking.

SGT, let me know how your scouting trip when.

I've heard from a few people that all the aniamls are staying up high still. It's been cold last couple days but I think there still pretty high. I would try hunting in the rawahs! do you have a tag for woods landing,wy?

How far are you going up behind Honholtz? How high are those two inches of snow?

Does sound pretty tough. I haven't hear a thing about area 4 & 441 where I am headed; good or bad. Think Nothing at all sad
