Nice job on the elk

No not using a guide way to expensive and really hard to find an outfitter that know the deer and will treat you right. Dont get me wrong you can find one but I would rather hunt on my own. Congrats on your bulls, it is going to be a good season with all the rain they had earlier on in the year. Good horns hopefully!

Hey danield how many of those great bucks in your picture were killed in unit 62? I haved hunted unit 62 all my life and we have taken many great bucks, you would have loved hunting it back in the 80's.

Unit 62 Deer

Hey Seeker didn't mean to get off the subject. Just was curious about danield. Unit 62 has always had great muledeer in the 90's it got pretty rough, most people don't know but the deer had CWD in the late 80's but you couldn't get the DOW to listen back then. The deer have made a pretty good comback in the last 8 years. Third season I would be hunting the cedars unless it is warm like it has been the last three years, then they will be spread out from the top to the bottom. You better come hunt soon though, our wonderful DOW is planning another mountain lion study (for 10 years). They did this before and wiped out a ton of deer. Also there is alot of hunting pressure but sometimes you can use it to your advantage. Good luck and good hunting!
