COLORADO UNIT 29

first time archery hunter and I recently pulled my tag in unit 29, has anyone ever hunted this area? Any tips would be helpful. Thanks

I have had some luck southwest of rollinsville in the mammoth reservior area. In 2007 we saw several nice bulls up near the tree line. good luck!

I've been walking the unit since the spring but this is my first time hunting it. Lots of land owned by the ciy of you know where up north past rainbow lakes and closed to hunting, also lots of other recreating going on. Not many tags anyway. I've seen lots of sign at and above treeline. I drew second rifle, god knows where they'll be at by then.

I hear ya. Everytime I have scouted I have run into a lot of bikers and recreational hikers. This could be quite the challenge, but I have a tag so I hope I am up to it.

Hey guys I Archery hunt around Mammoth gulch every year. And thought you should know that Mammoth is GMU 38 not 29. South of hwy72 and South of East portal rd and South of rollins pass rd are GMU 38. Everything North is GMU 29. Don't get into trouble around there since there is a Sheriff sud station in Tolland and always a game warden around that area.
