That unit stinks.

I cant wait till all the point creep guys get out of the way so I can go back to Colorado.

Theres alot of public land but the natural gas companies have pump stations all over the mountain range in unit 22.

Co. Unit 22 - 2nd Season...any thoughts

Pardon my first post, I've been searching around for info on unit 22 for the second season. Understanding that this isn't the premier time to hunt this unit, I'd love to get feedback on what regions within the unit to consider. Thanks in advance!

Near the alfalfa fields

During first season last year I saw tons of elk in the alfalfa fields along Piceance creek each morning. In order to get to the elk as they are leaving the fields, you'll have to be creative, but there's lots of BLM land. Or you can just hit the higher elevation stuff on the north and west end of the Roan Plateau.

Thank you! I'll look into

Thank you! I'll look into that area.

As you say, the Roan Plateau portion of the unit holds the higher elevations within the unit?

If anything else comes to mind, don't hesitate to pm me.

Thanks!
