Colorado sheep and goat

you can kinda backdoor the results.  The preference points are now posted in your draw results.  Make sure it has a 2012 next to your latest results.

This result is getting old

Just another weighted point. I wished they squared them like Nevada does.

I'm double digits on weighted

I'm double digits on weighted points for sheep, but still another year goes by empty handed. Only applied for the point this year on goats. First weighted point on the books now for them.

You are never too old.  I took a sheep hunter out one year in Utah and he sat in one spot for 2 weeks straight just waiting.  We would drop him off and change out partners with him every few hours while the other helpers scouted trying to find a ram for him.  He ended up getting his ram on his 79th birthday at the end of those 2 weeks and it was shot right from where he had been sitting those 2 weeks.

I did the same thing with a hunter that drew a bison hunt in Utah in the Henry Mountains.  He found a spot that he liked and he just sat there but his wait was only for 3 days before a young bull walked buy him at 45 yards.  He (the hunter not the bison) was 73 years young.

I didn't mean to do the hunt.

I didn't mean to do the hunt. I was talking about living long enough to get the points.  Big smile

Same thing for moose.

I agree with you about the

I agree with you about the waiting for the points to draw a tag if you ever draw one.

I have pretty much come to the conclusion that if you want to hunt a "exotic" animal that equates to a once in a lifetime type of a tag is to save you money and head north to Alaska or Canada.  I do know that after my bear hunt this May/June I'll be looking at possibly the same outfitter for a goat hunt and then possibly a outfitter in Alaska for a moose.

After all it's just money Dancing
