Colorado Private Land Elk Hunt - High Success Rates!

Cabin has deluxe accommodations including electricity, running water, stoves for heating and cooking and even a sound system! You need only to bring your hunting gear, clothes, sleeping bag, and food. Food can be purchased locally so don't haul it with you. You can actually drive right up to the cabin and park your vehicle. The hunting grounds are relatively easy to maneuver and consist of Poplar trees and a mixture of hardwoods on rolling terrain. You may rent horses nearby for your hunt. However, you will find that you will not have to wander far from camp to bag your trophy. The elk population in this area continues to grow rapidly and the bulls are very aggressive during the archery season.

There are absolutely NO hidden fees involved. You pay for the hunt itself which includes the cabin and hunting rights on 300 acres of private land which backs up to 1.5 million acres of the Uncompaghre National Forest which you may hunt if you so choose. Rarely has any hunter needed to wander off the private acreage to get their trophy. The fact that you have exclusive rights on private land guarantees you NO hunting pressure to contend with. The only other fee involved is the tag which is available over the counter for most seasons ($499 for non-resident).

We will provide you with free topo maps, loaner GPS units with insertable data cards for this game unit (#65), and a thorough briefing on the layout of the land. The outfitter sponsoring this hunt will meet with you the day you arrive to discuss with you the best places to hunt and what to expect.

The dates listed below are for archery. All archery hunts are 6 day hunts.
(Archery tags are sold over the counter)

1st Archery season: Sept. 2-8, 2006

2nd Archery Season: Sept. 11-16, 2006

3rd Archery Season: Sept. 19-24, 2006

The dates listed below are for Rifle. All Rifle hunts are 5 day hunts.

2nd Rifle Season: Oct. 21-25, 2006 (Over the counter tags)

3rd Rifle Season: Nov. 4-10 (any five days- tags available over the counter)
