Can someone explain this $25 fee to me in laymans terms??

It used to be that if you applied for a license, but did not buy a fishing license or any other license, you were just working the point system, your refund had $25 less than someone else's. Now you can opt out of that fee, but you also opt out of preference points.

So I am accumulating PP's I would not want to check this box then.......right?? I take if you do not wnat the PP you check the box?

If I'm reading the paper app right, you check the box to opt out of the pref point and $25. If you want a point, do not check the box. I haven't looked at the online version. But it's supposed to be an opt out, not an opt in rule.
