Colorado can scratch any tourism dollars I might have brought there. I'll drive to WY, MT, and ID instead.

last Saturday in Pueblo
750 of us showed up at the Pueblo library Saturday to voice opposition to the gun control bills.
The room they selected only held 250 so the other 500 of us stood outside.
At one point those of us outside chanted "We want to be heard"
Senator Giron's vote is an important swing vote, but she wishes to go against most constituents wishes and will likely vote for the legislation. She is also one of the sponsors of in-state tuition for illegal aliens.
2 people spoke in support of the legislation and 40 against. The TV news characterized it as 'both sides' more or less equally represented - not true. Only 1 of the 3 local TV stations covered it. On the other stations the top story was the weather report.
The senator was boo'd when she spoke of her admiration for Joe Biden and she generated laughter when she spoke of how effective additional background checks would be.
A local leftist college professor showed up and was recognized by many in the crowd outside. Like most of the rest of us, he came too late to get into the small room. He endured some good natured ribbing from the crowd - "Bought any guns lately", "Did you come to support our gun rights?". He quickly left.

Your link to the Chieftain
Your link to the Chieftain article doesn't work - it may be because you must have registered account in order to see the entire article.
It does figure that the leftist media would report the event in that manner.
Does anyone know when the Senate is expected to vote on these bills? I can't find anything.
My e-mails to the house and senate reps were both returned with responses. Nice to know we are heard here in El Paso County. Nothing from Hickenlooper yet... but I'm not holding my breath!

I wrote my local state
I wrote my local state Senator Gail Schwartz a week ago and still haven't heard a thing back from her, but then what do you expect?
I couldn't find out when the Senate is suppose to vote on them but more emails to your Senator won't hurt.
I even saw where the President of the Senate John Morse is planning on introducing a bill that would hold manufacturers and sellers of assault-style weapons legally liable for damage inflicted with such firearms.
These people are more of a joke than we could even imagine. I'm planning on sending off quite a few more emails tonight. Remember these people are our elected officials and we need to let them know where we stand.

I can't take
anymore of this. This has to stop. I have lost my State. Done with people moving here and wanting it to be just like where ever the hell it was where they came from and now a lot of them are in the House and Senate and Governor. I am not going to quit or move like Magpul. I am going to fight for my State. My name, your names need to start showing up on the election tickets. If we have to start at the bottom, so be it. Nobody works for us anymore! And no one gets it!!!

If these bills pass, we will lose our rights, reduce our safety, and we will watch multiple companies close their doors, fire their employees and move out of Colorado. Have your voice heard. Come to the Capitol Monday, March 4th to tell your Senator to put the rights of law-abiding citizens before out-of-state special interests. It is imperative that Coloradans make their voices heard, now! Apparently the swing vote, Senator Giron, ditched her own meeting yesterday. One couple drove all the way from Westcliff.
I heard that back in the day, in Boston, a legislator refused to talk or meet with constituents, and that Paul Revere hitched a team to his house and pulled it down because of it.
GUN CONTROL Community coffee gone cold Activists lament Giron's cancellation, hold rally instead By GAYLE PEREZ | email@example.com The Pueblo Chieftain
Pro-gun supporters gathered Saturday morning at the Colorado Wins office wanting to discuss their stance on gun control with Sen. Angela Giron, D-Pueblo. "We were hoping to talk about gun rights and our second amendment rights, but I guess she got word we were going to be here and canceled," said Victor Head, a local gun-rights supporter. Giron generally hosts a community coffee the first Saturday of the month at Colorado Wins, 304 N. Union Ave. A sign on the door said the March meeting was canceled due to the additional town hall meeting Giron hosted last week on gun rights.
