You

Are in the game on all of them though!!! I have been putting in well before the point system as well. Had a better chance back then!!!! Use to put in for Desert Ram when it was luck of the draw but was unlucky!!! Never have put in for goat and bighorn. You will probably draw all 3 in the same year!!!!!

Raghorn, Congrats to your Dad!!! That will be a special hunt!!! Is he from Grand Lake originally? I am asking because my mom and her family grew up there and she is in her 70's and has 6 sisters and a brother.

Do any of you put in for the moose lotteries in maine or New Hampshire? Its fairly cheap and they have very high sucess rates. I was drawn in maine after five years and had a great time hunting that bull.

It is hard to draw a tag. I have been applying in Maine for about 10 years and in NH for 7. But I can't complain, I drew in VT my 4th year My neighbor and his son have each applied for Maine. NH, and VT for 15 years. My neighbor has never drawn a tag anywhere. His son has gotten 2 tags, one in Maine and one in NH. And yes he got 2 nice bulls.

Thanks guys

My dad was getting to the age where he was becoming concerned about ever getting to hunt moose without a wheelchair with tire chains.

Blue, my dad is from Lakewood so I doubt he would know anyone in Grand Lake other than my neighbors. What are your relative's names, there is a chance that I might know them or somebody that does...not like their is a lot of people here.

Ask

If they know any Lynch's. There are a few still around the area. Uncle is in Parshall now. They were in Granby and Grand Lake for many ,many decades. When I was young, I seem to only remember a saw mill and a few houses. When I go back now it is a different place. It is the final resting place for my Grandparents and my Dad and my Mother when she passes. She has a few years left as she is only 71. Her oldest sister is 91.

I just found out something

I just found out something about moose hunting. I wasn't up on the laws, because I don't hunt for moose.

So, it seems you can switch seasons when you draw a moose tag. As an example. If you drew a muzzy tag, and wanted to hunt the rifle season instead. You can change it.

I wish deer and elk were like that.

They call me lucky.....

I drew a Bull Moose Muzzleloader tag, after about ten years applying! Kinda hope I don't draw an Elk tag too, because it won't be the same unit, but is the same season dates. Maybe I could turn the Elk tag back in? Dancing
