Colorado Limited Draw Thread

This place has been too slow lately.  Here's a chance for everyone to chime in.  What tags did you put in for and which are you most excited about?  I put in for a bunch of tags that I have an outside chance of drawing (RFW, 002, etc), like 1-2% each, so I'm really excited about scoring a bear tag.  Since it would be my first bear I would be happy with anything.

Hoping for that moose tag

I am hoping for my moose tag, 15 PP now, so maybe one of these years. So excited about hunting season. Last year wasn't so great but hopefully this year we get amimal soup instead of tag soup. Good luck to everyone.

Staying close to home this

Staying close to home this fall.

I will draw my unit 44 muzzle loader tag for both deer and cow elk and points for all the rest.

I'm in

I put in for 6 hunts with less than a 1% chance of being drawn in Utah, so I basically put in for points.

I put in for CO deer points.

I put in for Elk, Deer and Barbary sheep here in NM.

I also put in for Bighorn sheep, Ibex and Oryx here, but those odds are all terrible.

I have found that in Utah if you don't expect to draw that is the year that you will draw even with their screwed up draw system.

That would be a pleasant surprise.  They say be careful what you wish for, with my luck I would get drawn for two once in a lifetime hunts and have to choose.

That is one thing that you

That is one thing that you don't have to worry about.  Once you draw on one OIL hunt then all the rest resort to points.

I put in for unit 69/84

I put in for unit 69/84 archery deer and elk.  Have 2 points for each so I should draw.  Also plan to get OTC archery tag for cow elk and hunt close to home on the days when I'm not in 84.  Hoping to get a leftover 2nd season doe tag as well.  Wife put in for 1st season bull, so I'm excited to go on that hunt with her.

  Well our

Well our first Colorado hunt is a cow ML tag for me and the wife. She also put in for a doe ML tag. I put in for a second season buck tag and will pick up a left over cow tag for that season too. My outside shot is for a moose again this year. As for goat, sheep and antelope, these where all just put in a preference points. Will be headed up to South Dakota for my first ever hunt there in November for a does and pheasants. Also will be headed back to Mississippi in Jan to chase some more whitetail's.

Heading out tomorrow to try my luck on a turkey. Have only hunted them a few times so this will be fun for sure. Good luck to all in the draw.
