Got me a 4th season deer tag. It's better than nothing or fighting for one on leftover day. Pick up my OTC bull tag later.

Yep! Was out there earlier!

Gonna try the plains this year! Landed an archery either sex 143, 144 & 145 tag. DE14303A

Lots of public land in the Comanche National Grasslands that I have never seen and am not familiar with; any advice for a rookie archer????!!!

It's not as much public land as you think it is. It's very scattered in small parcels. I'd stick to the canyons around the major drainages.

FYI...it is NOT the leftover license list yet; it is draw results from the leftover draw. Look it up by your CID if that is what you need:

The leftover list isn't posted yet, this was for the leftover draw. If you were in the leftover draw, you can find the status of your application here:

That is my plan; prolly a pack hunt into one as that is what I have always read about the area. Any names of places that you might suggest I start scouting? Big smile

I've camped at a canyon with some petroglyphs, dang it now I gotta look up the name. Did see some deer in there and there's several ponds....Picture Canyon! That's it.

You can still get a tag, just gotta wait till they come up for sale in mid August. The list of leftovers will be out next week probably. I'll post them when they do.
