Colorado GMU 38 Third Season

I have come to you guys begging for help. I am a Native Coloradan and  a disabled hunter, I was an avid Elk hunter untill 3 years ago, I lost my father while elk hunting up by Basalt. I am now wanting to get back to hunting, I am trying to find a place to hunt in unit 38, I an not looking for a trophy, only meat to feed my family.

So I am putting myself in the forums hands, I have been hunting for over 25 years, I am not asking anyone to reveal their secret spot, but if are not going 3rd season and would consider pointing me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it! Help!

Happy Hunting to all!!!

sadly I do not know that unit

sadly I do not know that unit either but I am sure someone knows something about it. I am assuming that you have already left for your hunt so here is a belated good luck wish. I am sorry to hear for your loss but I think it will feel good to get back into the woods chasing game. It is probably what your father would want anyways. I hope it brings back some great memories of time well spent in the outdoors with your father. I can atleast say in my experience that the best time I have spent with family members was in the outdoors. I hope that you have success putting some tasty meat in the freezer. Good luck and keep us posted on how your hunt turns out.
