colorado elk hunting unit 67

My dad brother and me are planning on hunting unit 67 during the 2011 muzzle loader elk season. My dad has bow hunted colorado in over the counter units for last 20 years. He has been saving points for us also for a years. For my brother an d me this will be are first elk hunt. My dad has always hunted northern colorado, so we are looking for some info some places to start. I have bought some blm maps of unit, and it looks like the southern part of unit is very tuff terain. Is this where all the elk are during the muzzy season or can we hunt more north near powder horn, in some of the lower elevations? Any info or advice would be greatly appreciated!

unit 67

Hey Adam, I was reseaching this area for a muzzleloader hunt back in 2008, click on the link for the responses I got.  We still havent made it out there for a number of different reasons, but maybe in the next year or 2 we'll get the chance. Good luck to you guys this year, hope you have a successful hunt.Thumbs up
