I went on my first elk hunt last year. This is my buddy who took me out and showed me how it's done.
Being that I've only hunted FL and GA whitetails, I was impressed by the elk and muledeer size and ability to cover great distances while on the run. I came home without filling my cow tag as we had plenty of meat.

Congrats on your first elk! I've also only hunted whitetails and hope someday to chase an elk
