That is truly a magnificent

That is truly a magnificent ram. I don't apply for the desert rams as I plan to take one out of the mountains up here before I ever start to apply for those. At least it seemed like a good plan 18 years ago when I started to apply. Some of my friends have gone after sheep twice now while I continue to wait.

I use Matt for my mounts also but have not needed his services for quite awhile now. I think he was in his first or second year when I hauled my lion in back in 97. He was better priced and does great work.

Maybe this year I will have a reason to swing by again.

Congratulations again on you success

Fantastic Ram.

You really got a good one.  How many times did you try to get that tag and did you continuously try for the same area?

I hate to admit it but it was

I hate to admit it but it was my very first time applying for a sheep tag. I put in for the area because I live near the unit and in colorado desert sheep tags are on a lottery system. No preference or weighted points. They do offer 1 non resident tag for the unit I hunted.

Congrats!

The one you passed on looks nice, but I think the one you got is definitely something to be proud of.  No regrets! Thumbs up

Hard to believe you passed a

Hard to believe you passed a good opportunity at that big boy, but I'm glad you filled that once in a lifetime type tag with a good one.  Congratulations and I'm looking forward to seeing the mount too!!!

First of all... congrats on

First of all... congrats on drawing the tag! And then there's the fact that you filled it! Good work. I am sure that you will never forget it. I would have no regrets about taking a 7 year old ram. That is something to be proud of.
