I hit on both my draws so far with 1st choices. Pretty pumped. This should be a big year. Just waiting on Colorado and Wyoming antelope draws, plus Nevada deer at this point.

I also ended up with my first choice deer tag. I can't wait to get back after those big muleys and trying to get him in the scope. Thumbs up Good luck to all who drew there tags and congrats.

Congrats to all of you who drew. We drew a second choice, 2nd season buck tag. Not a good area but family, friends, fellowship, food and maybe we'll find a shooter. The older I get, the time together becomes more precious. Use to be unless the meat pole was heavy, I didn't stop to smell the roses. I guess we get a little wiser with age.

Congrats Hiker and good luck this year. I am almost like you when it comes to the time together. Especially when it comes to getting the kids on the animals, but I am still after that true "GIANT" muley. Only my daughter drew a deer tag this year and even though it is the same season she ended up with the 2nd choice in a different unit. She will be camping with us and my boys will be helping her, which means I can concentrate on my tag this year. Yes

Man... I drew NOTHING... .no elk, no deer, no bear, no moose (expected), no big horn (expected)....

I am relying on OTC and leftovers.... any ideas on the leftover list being made available?

I've already posted elk leftovers (always OTC also), but I don't know what the heck is going on. They haven't posted the draw summary yet, and it's been a week now. The elk draw summary was posted the same day as the results. As soon as they do that I'll post the leftovers

Re: Colorado deer draw is posted

Remember, they will not do it until they complete the "leftover draw" for those who checked that box as their unsuccessful option. That usually does not happen until the end of June as they usually allow for two or more weeks after they sent you the leftover draw packet.

With risking that in the future my leftover draw odds will be reduced, I highly suggest checking that option of you are intending to even consider leftover licenses after a unsuccessful draw. As Ex has previously mentioned, not a lot of people actually use this option, but I like it! It gives you the first shot at leftovers before they are made available to everyone. Even if you are eligible for the leftover draw, doesn't mean you have to enter it either. When you get the draw letter, you can just opt out and again have the chance to simply select an OTC license, or wait till later when they are made fully public. It really just gives you first chance at the leftover tags and I like that idea! Thumbs up

Good point... guess I will start using that option now.
