I had to go in and look at my preference points and not the tags/applictions on file.  I have 0 points left for deer so that should mean that I drew my first choice.

Yes, I looks like you got

Yes, it looks like you got lucky. I was hoping to see the same thing. I'm pretty depressed to see that point.

No luck just planning.  I

No luck just planning.  I used my 14 points to draw a unit that only required 10.

I was getting tired of playing the point game.

Congrats on the tag.  I'm starting to think it's not worth waiting either so I'm going to draw next year with my 11 pts.

I made the mistake of trying

I made the mistake of trying a new tag offered this year. I had no history from past years on results, and also didn't know how many tags were offered. It turned out only 25 tags were offered. I didn't get one. I won't be messing with that tag again. I should have known better after messing with the draw for so many years. I don't normally take chances. Now I remember why.

Too old to miss a year hunting.

I agree with you on too old to start missing a hunting season.  I'll turn 59 while I am on my bear hunt up in British Colombia.

That right there is why I took up archery hunting years ago.  That along with hunting another state and playing around with their draws.  I figured a couple of years ago that I pass up more buck deer than most hunters see and I'll only take one ever 3 or 4 years in both Colorado and Utah..  Now after this year I can archery hunt one year and then use the muzzle loader the next.

Looks like I drew mine for

Looks like I drew mine for 444 4th season. Only took 2 points this time around as they upped the tag quota for that season last year. It took 3 points when there were 10 tags but 2 oe less now that there are 25.

I'm going to be pretty busy hunting 2nd seaon with my daughter, then off to Texas for whitetail, back just in time to hit the 4th here for deer.

Looks like the bear results

Looks like the bear results are in also.  Got my preference point for deer, just wondering now if I got my 2nd choice deer.
