looking for info on unit 36 colorado early hunt deer

I'm sure you can find some buck up high, above timberline. I'm not sure how many made through the winter of 2007. Many of the 36 bucks winter in 35 and 35 really got hurt with winterkill in 07.

i got mules how far can a guy get away from everything and i womder how you would find out about the winter kill and does it produce big bucks

You can get very remote in 36. Some areas have big boulder fields, so be cautious with your mules. Eagle county is a top producer of B&C bucks, so it definitely has the genetics, if you can find some. Call Colorado Division of Wildlife (303) 297-1192 and ask to speak with someone who would know about the winter kill in that unit.
