Colorado

Colorado isn't far behind from becoming California.  Even the student government at CU this week rallied for support of in-state tuition for illegal immigrants.  Something very wrong when that happens!!  I think we should rally to get our state to adopt an immigration bill like Arizona's.

You raise a great point,

You raise a great point, WH...if you can be in this country and have a driver's license, access to all the social services, health care, in-state tuition, etc without paying taxes, why would you ever want to become a citizen?  Why by the cow when you can get milk for free?

I work with many legal

I work with many legal resident latinos at my job and some of them are very close friends. Some of the girls are making over 30k a year and still qualify for all the programs. Insurance for the children and WIC among others. The local offices come and look for them to sign them up. Our system is very flawed.

I know of one that lost her job here because she let her papers expire but says she is much happier now and does not need a job anymore.

Although she is no longer legal her children were born here and because of that all her rent, food stamps,WIC checks and insurance is provided by the state.

And people wonder why we get upset.
