This particular issue was about allocation of resident vs. non-resident tags. I believe its safe to say that residents were in favor of more tags being allocated to residents, especially for the trophy units.
If this was all about the money for the DOW then they would have left the allocation higher for the non-residents, since they get a lot more money for those tags.
I'm not a big fan of the DOW, however in this case they were listening to the Colorado residents/hunters.
Today's headlines read, "Hunter Dies of Heart Attack!"
