Colorado Black Bear

I have a friend who guides in Yakutat who told me about a hunt. He was the guide and his hunter shot this Brown Bear and hit him in both shoulders, both albows, both hips and he kept coming! So my buddy starts shooting to....they had 18 shots in him before he finally died. He finally expired 10 yards in front of them. The first shot was at 200 yards and that rank Ol' Bear kept coming the whole way. My friend shoots a .458 Win. Mag. Talk about a will to live.

Once you have skinned one out, you know why they are so powerful. They are complete muscle

Colorado Black Bear

Since I've been knee high to a grasshopper, I have wanted to hunt them. Lord willing, one of these years I will.
