Colorado: archery: leftover or OTC tags

I am a bit confused. We did not get a tag via drawling, and I do not understand the entire OTC/leftover tag situation.

I am wanting to hunt archery season, colorado, in a GMU that should be considered statewide hunt code (gmu 231 or 131) - But I cannot even find the exact hunt code to use for the online tag system to see if they are available?

Are there any OTC tags/leftover for archery?? Again, so confused-- trying to figure it all out. Bottom line: I want to see elk, and would be willing to consider any GMU this year.

I called the DOW in that area: and they stated that it was unlimited over the counter tag for archery in those GMU's -

I just couldn't find info on the leftover tags: since this is not a 'leftover' scenario: that explains it all-- Just trying to figure out the lingo: we have been planning on this for about a year, and I have been told to watch out for the tag notices: however, that obviously was just bad info:

I was told I could purchase them anytime before hunt that I want at the DOW office or sporting good stores in that area.

thanks!

Unit 231 is an over the counter area; you don't need to apply for a tag or draw a tag for that area.
